| meaning do they practice their religion the same way as the witches do and are they callled witches in thai???this is new to me for i am a witch through wicca religion,but my mother was a budist when she was young.she is from thailand and i didnt really feel comfortable asking her that. |

"hais are not naturally or necessary buddhists. many thais i know prays to hindu gods (ie the 4 faced buddha, which is NOT a buddha @ all).
In thailand, I understand that one cannot be officially registered as a herbal doctor while still a bhikkhu/ monk.
in thailand, indonesia & malaysia, there are still some small number of people who still practise 'alternative medicine'... in today's point of view, it's considered 'black magic' or 'shamanism'." |
